Risk at Work is a consultancy firm for the financial industry. We specialize in quantitative risk consultancy for banks, insurers and pensions funds. That means doing fun things such as coding up mathematical risk management models or advising on complex topics. We pride ourselves on having smart people working on some of the most challenging puzzles our clients face and finding creative and practical solutions to them.
What you'll do
Our consultants typically work in small teams on-site at clients. There is no set pattern for your assignments, but your activities will likely involve a significant amount of quantitative work and/or coding.
Some examples of assignments could be:
- Developing models to estimate market risks or risks resulting from client behaviour;
- Advising on an optimal allocation of investments;
- Designing a hedge program for embedded optionality;
- Building machine learning models to identify customer turnover or fraud
Qualifications
We're looking for people with 0-7 years of working experience and a quantitative background (e.g. mathematics, econometrics, physics). Experience in finance is preferred, but not required. What is required are the brains and ambition to learn from the best so that you can become the best of their generation.
